We've been guests at this location for almost 20 years, through three sets of owners, always loved the location, its closeness to the village, yet peaceful at the same time. The latest owners have given the place an excellent remodelling, it is warmer in feel, cosy yet practical. Staff are friendly and helpful. Now it is licensed too and the snug lounge area are nice to retire to after a day out. Cannot fault it.

This little hotel is tucked away just a minute's walk from the river front and all it's many pubs, restaurants and cafes. It's an ideal location from which to explore this part of the Cotswolds. The staff were very friendly, the room was very clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was top quality.

Straightforward accommodation and breakfast with safe parking (not to be underestimated in Bourton-on-the-Water) at a realistic price so exactly what we wanted and so we are happy customers. Located in a quiet back street but then only a very short walk into the heart of the village. The village is so nice during the evening but pleased that we pre-booked a restaurant as the good ones do fill up. We also appreciated the 11am check out time to be able to look round the village (and model village) before most of the day tourists arrived.

It was a pleasant stay the room was nice and the bed was very comfortable. We were a bit unsure about the room at first because we thought we were inside the main hotel not in the courtyard. It was fine in the end.The shower was hard to get the temperature right it kept going hot & cold. That was the only bad thing. The breakfast was fantastic, one of the best we have had👍 Thank you for the lovely stay, we hope to be back again one day.

We stopped two nights and was very pleased with the location, room and the breakfast plus service was excellent.Minor gripe was the charge of £5 per night for parking our car onsite (why not just include it in the overall cost), also the room we were in (room 2) the floor board need looking at as they were squeaking no matter where you walked in the room.

We really loved our 2 night stay @ Broadlands. The room was very spacious and it felt luxurious. The towels were big and fluffy and everything you needed was in the room. The bed was super comfortable. The location was fabulous. The breakfast was very good, but it might have been nicer and much quicker to have a self service bar for the cereals, fruit salad and yoghurt starters. We would definitely stay again.

We stayed in room 1 and although the room was comfortable there had been a leak in the bathroom before our stay and the room smelled very musty even though this was reported to the staff they could not get rid of the smell which marred our stay also when we first used the hot water there wasn,t any as the plumber hadnot turned theisolation valveback on but that was soon sorted The hotel is ideally situated for the village and the food issort on I wouldrecommend this hotel for a visit.

Lovely hotel with plenty of character. Breakfast excellent. Location great. Friendly and very helpful hosts. Only negative which I feel needs pointing out is the shower in room 5. Obviously an overhead one which doesn’t fit correctly and hangs at an angle. Water pressure very poor and temperature difficult to get right.

Very pleasant coach house room with large, comfortable double bed. Impressed that the mirror actually had a socket for the hairdryer within reach! When the temperature dropped to very chilly it was nice that the heating came on. The 2 course breakfast was very good, especially the coffee and the orange juice. The owner was very pleasant and helpful and her two cats (not allowed in the rooms or the restaurant during meals) were very cute. The room could have been improved by having somewhere near the door to hang wet coats and a full length mirror e.g. on the wardrobe door. The ceiling needed a quick wizz round with a feather duster. The shower temperature was erratic; difficult to set and changed while you were under it. It also leaked onto the floor. A proper towel rail to hang wet towels would also have been useful. The wifi in the coach house was a bit slow (6.58 Mbps down; 1.23 Mbps up) so glad I didn't have to do any work while away. The car parking is a bit tight; if you have a choice of cars take the smaller one!

We have stayed at Broadlands on 3 other occasions but the last time was pre Covid. It is now under different ownership and lots of lovely modern improvements have been made to the decor, a beautiful bar added and even an outside seating area. We had a wonderful friendly welcome even though the owners were in the process, literally, of moving some furniture. This lovely family were welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. Our room was clean, comfortable , good storage, fan in the wardrobe if needed, with a very good en-suite - lovely shower.Breakfast was delicious with a lot of choice and service was prompt, efficient and always with a smile. We will be back I’m sure and tomorrow morning we will absolutely miss that breakfast!

Common areas were also very nice and inviting, and the breakfast was quite good. Staff (family/owners) were very helpful, friendly, and accommodating. This hotel was a wonderful find right in the heart of Bourton-on-the-water making the need for the car redundant. It was wonderfully and professionally run, easy check-in and great clean rooms. The included breakfast was a bonus which was yum and a great start to the day before heading out. Thank you …my Mum said she’ll be back!

Our rooms were ideal and my friend had a free upgrade which was a real bonus for her. All rooms were very clean. The breakfasts were exceptional, with so much choice available. The location of the hotel was ideal for the village and all it's amenities. We would love to stay at the hotel again.

Broadlands Hotel was easy to find, in a convenient location within walking distance to the centre of Bourton-on-the-Water. The hotel has private off street parking. We had a warm and friendly greeting and found out we had been upgraded - lovely surprise. The room was split level. We only used downstairs area. Not suitable for wheelchair or non ambulant people.Great breakfast. Warm, cozy and comfortable.- toilet seat is the shape / size for the bowl and slight lifting of the bathroom tiles.

Really enjoyed our stay at this lovely place. We were accommodated early as the rooms were ready, good parking in the enclosed courtyard.Welcomed by a lovely young woman. Our twin room was lovely, nicely decorated, spotless, good hot drink facilities. We asked for extra milk and were given a jug of fresh milk, a lovely touch. A short walk, just a couple of hundred yards to the village centre, so well located. Central heating worked well so we were super cosy despite a cold night. There is a full bath with a shower over - lashings of very welcome hot water and large bath towels. Very peaceful night's sleep and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was divine - juice, plentiful tea and coffee, a starter course and a cooked course on offer. My husband had eggs poached perfectly and i had a full English breakfast, with veggie sausages (divine) Lovely service again, friendly and helpful. Can't fault this pretty little place. Top marks for presentation and service. Thoroughly recommend!

The breakfast was excellent - lovely menu choices with freshly cooked hot selection. We liked the small lounge & bar area to enjoy a night-cap! The free parking was certainly a bonus. We must add that for room 9 we felt that the bathroom was in need of refurbishment especially the shower over the bath. It was difficult to control the temperature from the bath taps. Also, rather dark at wardrobe end of bedroom where the mirror is situated.Thank you.

This is a beautiful property in Bourton on the Water. It was a great place to stay as a base to visit other villages. The owners are the perfect hosts. Rooms were clean and well equipped. Breakfast was wonderful as well. There is a small bar and lounge area where we mingled with the other guests. From begining to end, a great stay, made to feel welcome and valued by all the staff. We did book a small room, which is what we got, but it was comfortable, clean and what we needed for a short stay. Having been regular guests over the years under prior management, we know the other rooms are more spacious - two of them are tremendously big. The new decor does work very well and we will certainly be back in future.

It was the first time that I ve been in the Cotswolds and I have to say I was impressed by the beauty of the nature really amazing landscapes! About the Broadlands Hotel position is really convenient is just few steps from the small village center of Bourton-on-the-Water that it s a really lovely village hotel is clean and cozy all the Staff is really kind and lovely rooms are a quite good size breakfast no choice of brioches but it s fine only thing is the room bathroom it s very small for 2 people and the shower is really old style and no handle for safety I have to say that that shower for old people could be dangerous this is the only thing the rest was amazing! Thanks

We've just returned from a 3 night stay in the Broadlands Hotel. The welcome was very warm and friendly, and we were really delighted to find that our 'room' was in fact a suite with two bedrooms and a lounge! The location is perfect for visiting the delights of Bourton-on-the-Water; the hotel is only 200m or so from the Windrush and its many tourist attractions, yet the hotel is an oasis of tranquility all day long. Breakfasts were very generous and delicious, with every meal cooked to perfection. So, if you want a great value stay in a perfect location, with the added benefit of an on-site car park, then look no further than the Broadlands. We'll definitely be going back again.

Had a lovely couple of days in the Cotswolds, staying at the Broadlands Hotel, which was very pleasant, we had a room in the court yard area, which was very comfortable, tidy room, and very quite. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice, would definitely go back their for another short break.

Very welcoming people, comfortable room, excellent breakfast, superbly located f0r Bourton on the Water. Bathroom a little tired - a shower cubicle rather than a shower over bath is our preferred choice. Forgot to mention that in our No. 10 room the kettle only worked if you held the button down. Our family loved room no. 6 with separate upstairs accommodation for their teenage daughter. Thank you so much for lovely days in BotW,

Floorboards very noisy in places!Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and delicious and the bar (although small) was well stocked and the patio a perfect place to relax and cool down. We had room 10 which is one of the rooms in the back annex. We selected it to avoid having to climb stairs. Our room was very adequate except for the heating system. Apparently, it is on a timer and the weather was quite cool that week so there were periods when it was colder than we would have liked. When asked they did increase the duration that it generated heat. Breakfast was wonderful; everything cooked to order. Internet was slow but we did no streaming, so it was fine.

My wife and I just spent 10 days at the Broadlands Hotel, a lovely family owned and operated B&B in Bourton-On-The-Water in the heart of the Cotswolds. Rob and Andrea Grant-Smith and their adult children, Ross and Carly, share the duties of running the hotel and are all warm and welcoming. Our room was comfortable, and the breakfasts excellent, but what made our stay truly exceptional was their gracious hospitality. The family went out of their way to make our stay memorable. We could not have enjoyed a better experience and look forward to returning. It is truly a wonderful place in which to stay and explore the Cotswolds!

This was our first visit to the Cotswolds and we couldn’t have found anywhere better to stay. This is a family run business who pride themselves on making people feel at home. The hotel is comfortable, cosy and restful. The room was great, large enough to move around or sit and read a book. The bed was very comfortable with lovely quality linen. Breakfast was excellent, great choices and cooked to order. The little courtyard was the perfect sun trap to enjoy a G&T and relax. The free parking was an additional bonus. This time we stayed in the family suite which is beautifully and recently decorated and having a separate living room with a sofa bed is a real bonus. The bathroom is a "little snug" but does the job. Breakfast has a good selection and is well cooked however you need to book your preferred sitting time in advance. Can't fault the service, nothing is too much trouble. If in that neck of the woods, would definitely stay here again.

Great breakfast and service. Bed was really comfy. Room was clean and had everythingwe needed and if we had beenstaying longer. Now that we know what it is like and it's location, we will plan to go back sometime and take the bikes as it just right for get-out into to the lovely Cotswold lanes. We booked into the Broadlands as it was well situated to the village, walking distance from pubs and restaurants. The off-street parking was a bonus too. The hotel is family owned and very friendly, nothing was too much trouble for any of the family members/staff we met on our stay. Our room, whilst not large, had clearly been recently renovated was very nicely decorated with a large and comfortable bed. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Rob and Andrea were happy to give recommendations for restaurants and things to do, both of which we took them up on. We were particularly grateful to Rob for opening the bar on both nights for us as the pubs were closing earlier than usual due to Covid-19 restrictions. And he serves a good pint! We would recommend coming here and would definitely return in the future.

I stayed with Andrea and her family at Broadlands to celebrate the weekend of my birthday. Id always wanted to go away on my own and took the opportunity on my 40th Birthday. I was warmly welcomed and shown to my beautiful room in the coach house. The room was perfectly clean, warm and comfortable. Even the smell of the room was perfect, reminiscent of a spa.. I dont know how they did this! There was plenty of hot water for a lovely bath, the breakfast was one of the best Ive had (the sausages were gorgeous) and the village itself was idyllic. I didnt want to leave. I will definitely be returning as soon as I can! It was perfect.

What made this a great stay? A wonderful king-size double en-suite room, excellent breakfasts, safe parking, and just a short 5 minute walk to the village centre. But, chiefly, the friendliness and helpfulness of the proprietors provided the icing on the cake. Their knowledge and their frequent company was a true joy. We will come again to what must surely be the best small hotel in the area.

Excellent location. Very quite. Very good breakfast. Only negative is that there are plastic cups in the room for your tea and coffee. For £130 a night, surely not too much to ask for a proper cup.
Hi Debbie,Thank you for your lovely review! I am so sorry about the cups, we always have cups in the rooms for tea and coffee, it must have been an oversight from housekeeping. The plastic ones are meant for the bathroom!Kind regards,Andrea.

I liked the yogurt and granola along with the fresh fruit. Towels were a good quality. Hosts were charming and attentive. The patio area was a nice place to sit with a cold beer. We loved our three night stay ! The owner was very welcoming and nothing was to much trouble. The hotel is nice and close to the centre of Bourton so we were able to walk to all the attractions and evening meals with lots of choices ( we booked tables the week before coming ) . We enjoyed the bird sanctuary lots to see there. We also enjoyed a day in Oxford as it’s only a 50 minute drive away , we used the park and ride which is very good value. We would highly recommend the Hotel so friendly and welcoming and a delicious breakfast.

We stayed over night, the room was very clean , we had the full English breakfast which was included. It was freshly cooked and plenty to eat.Our hosts were very friendly, and always around if you wanted anything. There was a bar in the main part of the hotel which was very handy as the small town was busy and hard to get a seat anywhere. Would definitely stay there again.

The hotel location was perfect - just a 5 minute walk from the centre of this most beautiful village. Andrea and her family team were the perfect hosts; nothing was too much trouble for them and they regularly went out of their way to be helpful, giving us useful local knowledge which added to the enjoyment of our stay. The breakfast menu is extensive, well prepared and very tasty! Our room was clean, comfortable and had all the necessary amenities. It's difficult to find anything negative here. If I had to be picky, I'd say that the on-site (free) parking is quite tight and can be limited; however, there is little the hosts can do to improve this ... they only have the space there is!

Broadlands is a very friendly family ran hotel and Andrea and her daughter were very welcoming providing local info on places to eat and local walks.Excellent breakfast and the opportunity to have drinks from the bar in the evening is provided. The location is excellent just 5 mins walk to Bourton village centre with lots of pubs, cafes and take always available.Upstairs room was comfortable, only slight inconvenience is lack of sockets, but this does not distract from the overall enjoyable stay.

We were warmly welcomed by the owners and were delighted with our room. The bed was king size and very comfortable. The bathroom was exactly what we wanted. We were pleased with the rates having stayed for two days. The breakfasts were great and gave us a good choice. The poached eggs made by Rob were spot on! We were offered a choice of two time slots for breakfast, which was sensible during these CV19 days. It was a short walk into the beautiful town. The car parking was just perfect. We’d definitely recommend this establishment and will stay again should we be in The Cotswolds at any time in the future.

My partner and I decided we wanted to visit the Cotswolds. We found this delightful hotel doing some research. The hotel is situated just a stones throw from the village centre but just far enough that you don’t get impacted by it!The hotel is beautifully presented and has maintained that warm feeling of being home! It was immaculately clean and the rooms were big! The rooms are spotless and well equipped with comfy beds and tea and coffee facilities. Plenty of room to move about in! At night it was extremely quiet and we had two nights of uninterrupted sleep! Very relaxing. The breakfast offers a great range of fresh food and hot fresh breakfasts. The staff were extremely lovely and personable making you instantly feel at home and relaxed. It was a genuine personal service as you are left feeling you are part of their journey! .We had plenty of little chats :) Carly the daughter of the owners was brilliant and can assist in anything you need with a big smile! It had a lovely mix of young people and elderly and was very peaceful! There were two toddlers there during our stay and they were so well behavedThere are plenty of things to do and see all within a 20 min walk of the location. We have already decided that we will be having a winter stay at this exact location and will be recommending the hotel to friends family and on our work forumThank you for being a massive part in what was a delightful little staycation!!
Thank you so much for all your lovely comments! It was a real pleasure meeting you both and have you stay with us, hurry back! All the best, Andrea, Rob and Carly.

This is a family owned and operated hotel and Andrea Rob and their two adult children were the perfect hosts. The hotel is situated a very short walk away from the main thoroughfare, the River and the tourist attractions. The location is very peaceful, and it was very pleasant to be woken by birdsongs in the morning. The accommodation my wife and I had, was a family room which was very spacious and comfortable. Rob cooked an excellent breakfast in the morning which kept us going whilst we followed the walking trails which are abundant in the Cotswolds. We strongly recommend this hotel and both Bourton on the Water and nearby Stow on the Wold as wonderful places to visit.

We stayed in a family room which was self contained with it’s own entrance so we could easily come and go without disturbing anyone. We unfortunately had to cut our trip short due to personal reasons and the owners were incredibly helpful, understanding and accommodating. They are genuinely warm, fantastic people and made our short trip a pleasure.
