My husband and I stayed here three nights to celebrate his birthday and visit local attractions especially Blenheim Palace. The suite was very tidy, comfortable and welcoming a lovely place to be able to relax in at the end of the day. On first encounter the bed seemed very firm when we sat down on it but it was in fact extremely comfortable and a good night's sleep endured.Good breakfast every morning with plenty of choice to start the day. We were made to feel very welcome. Ideal location from the main highstreet to stroll to within a few minutes, tucked away from the hustle & bustle it was very peaceful and a bonus being able to park on site. Would definitely recommend staying here.

We had 3 lovely nights here and enjoyed our time vety much. Although the room was a tad small and the shower in the bath needed a better shower head, we instantly felt at home here. Breakfasts were delicious and were able to be varied to our tastes. The lounge area had a lovely ambience to it with comfy arm chairs and a large variety of reading matter. The breakfast conseorvatory was bright and cheerful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and happily recommend Broadlands.

We received a lovely warm welcome when we arrived. All our questions were answered, we were given our key and directed to our room (Room 4). It's a compact room but the bed was comfortable. We discovered we didn't have any towels in our room, so went to reception, and were given a full set of towels and a heartfelt apology. The first morning we realised that we didn't have any milk for our morning drinks. Again, when we asked for some at reception, we received an apology, and asked how many we wanted. The provision of biscuits and a bottle of tap water was much appreciated.Breakfast was excellent - a good choice of fruit juices, tea and coffee, cereal, granola and yogurt and fresh fruit salad, which was slightly different each day we were there. There was a good choice of hot food, and I loved the scrambled eggs! The hotel is set back from the busy centre of Bourton On the Water but everything is a short and easy walk away. We were glad of the parking at the hotel, especially as we stayed over a busy August Bank Holiday weekend. We will be happy to return next time we're in the area.

Second visit to this hotel. Friendly welcome on arrival. We had booked what we thought was a large room on the top floor. It turned out to be a two bedroom apartment. It was clean and very comfortable. The bed was made every day and tea coffee and biscuits replenished daily. An excellent breakfast is available every morning. It is situated in a nice quiet area of Bourton on the Water. If back in the area we will definitely return.

Very comfortable hotel in great location on the lake within close range of many local attractions. The rooms are clean and tidy. Beds comfortable. Staff helpful, cheerful and obliging. Bar and restaurant on site provide a selection of food and beverages. Breakfast was ample and satisfying. As I’m not a dog lover I found there were too many dogs. Something to consider if like me that’s a bit of an issue. Otherwise perfect value for money

Very good. We stayed 3 nights. Just 2 issues that we'd like you to note.I had the fruit salad each morning. I pointed out the first morning when the fruit bowl arrived I'm allergic to 🥝 fruit. Despite mentioning this the following 2 mornings on each occasion the fruit bowl contained a number of pieces of kiwi fruit. Also, toilet roll wasn't replenished when it was obvious that there was little left

The young staff were excellent. Friendly and helpful. I didn't make clear when I booked that I was unable to use a bath, although my son, who had another room, told me that he didn't want me to try as the bottom of the bath was very slippery. I am 80. It would have been unsafe for me , in my own, to have used the bath or shower. The rooms, being self contained, do lend themselves to having a small refrigerator. For cold drinks.Breakfast breakfast, every day, was lovely. Tasty, plentiful and well prepared. Thank you all for a great break.

Having a separate sitting room with a comfy sofa is lovely.Things I might add would be a coffee table, water glasses and controls for the heating. Opening windows is the only control and that’s very wasteful. We were missing toiletries on the first night and overnight there was a very loud water (leak) outside.Breakfast was lovely but I should have asked for a “half English” as the portions are very generous.

The latest owners have given the place an excellent remodelling, it is warmer in feel, cosy yet practical. Staff are friendly and helpful. Now it is licensed too and the snug lounge area are nice to retire to after a day out. Cannot fault it.

Straightforward accommodation and breakfast with safe parking (not to be underestimated in Bourton-on-the-Water) at a realistic price so exactly what we wanted and so we are happy customers. Located in a quiet back street but then only a very short walk into the heart of the village. The village is so nice during the evening but pleased that we pre-booked a restaurant as the good ones do fill up. We also appreciated the 11am check out time to be able to look round the village (and model village) before most of the day tourists arrived.

We stopped two nights and was very pleased with the location, room and the breakfast plus service was excellent.Minor gripe was the charge of £5 per night for parking our car onsite (why not just include it in the overall cost), also the room we were in (room 2) the floor board need looking at as they were squeaking no matter where you walked in the room.

We really loved our 2 night stay @ Broadlands. The room was very spacious and it felt luxurious. The towels were big and fluffy and everything you needed was in the room. The bed was super comfortable. The location was fabulous. The breakfast was very good, but it might have been nicer and much quicker to have a self service bar for the cereals, fruit salad and yoghurt starters. We would definitely stay again.

We stayed in room 1 and although the room was comfortable there had been a leak in the bathroom before our stay and the room smelled very musty even though this was reported to the staff they could not get rid of the smell which marred our stay also when we first used the hot water there wasn,t any as the plumber hadnot turned theisolation valveback on but that was soon sorted The hotel is ideally situated for the village and the food issort on I wouldrecommend this hotel for a visit.

Comfortable rooms, very close to town centre restaurants etc. Whilst the bar was closed when we returned in the evening, the hotel was only too happy open it again and even arranged for a lift for one of our group to another hotel in the area as taxi cabs are like hens teeth in BOW! Excellent breakfast and would recommend this establishment if you are in the area.

Lovely hotel with plenty of character. Breakfast excellent. Location great. Friendly and very helpful hosts. Only negative which I feel needs pointing out is the shower in room 5. Obviously an overhead one which doesn’t fit correctly and hangs at an angle. Water pressure very poor and temperature difficult to get right.

Very pleasant coach house room with large, comfortable double bed. Impressed that the mirror actually had a socket for the hairdryer within reach! When the temperature dropped to very chilly it was nice that the heating came on. The 2 course breakfast was very good, especially the coffee and the orange juice. The owner was very pleasant and helpful and her two cats (not allowed in the rooms or the restaurant during meals) were very cute. The room could have been improved by having somewhere near the door to hang wet coats and a full length mirror e.g. on the wardrobe door. The ceiling needed a quick wizz round with a feather duster. The shower temperature was erratic; difficult to set and changed while you were under it. It also leaked onto the floor. A proper towel rail to hang wet towels would also have been useful. The wifi in the coach house was a bit slow (6.58 Mbps down; 1.23 Mbps up) so glad I didn't have to do any work while away. The car parking is a bit tight; if you have a choice of cars take the smaller one!

We have stayed at Broadlands on 3 other occasions but the last time was pre Covid. It is now under different ownership and lots of lovely modern improvements have been made to the decor, a beautiful bar added and even an outside seating area. We had a wonderful friendly welcome even though the owners were in the process, literally, of moving some furniture. This lovely family were welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. Our room was clean, comfortable , good storage, fan in the wardrobe if needed, with a very good en-suite - lovely shower.Breakfast was delicious with a lot of choice and service was prompt, efficient and always with a smile. We will be back I’m sure and tomorrow morning we will absolutely miss that breakfast!

We stayed three nights and really enjoyed our time. It is close to many shops and pubs but far enough away from the bustling tourist area. Our suite was huge although the bathroom was a little small. The breakfasts were very filling and delicious. Many choices. There was a nice patio where we enjoyed a glass of wine one afternoon. Easy walking distance to Greystone Farm and Birdland.

Common areas were also very nice and inviting, and the breakfast was quite good. Staff (family/owners) were very helpful, friendly, and accommodating. We really enjoyed our stay at Broadlands. The atmosphere is welcoming and cosy, with comfy rooms and a freshly cooked breakfast available each morning. We found the hosts to be knowledgeable and accommodating - the guest house is perfectly situated for a quiet but accessible visit to the area. It also provided a good base for us to visit some of the other local places of interest. We loved it and will definitely return. Thank you!

As soon as we arrived I could tell we’d made the right choice. Very warm, welcoming atmosphere as you walk in. Andrea and her husband could not do enough to make sure our stay was memorable. Great quiet location away from the bustle but just around the corner from the very pretty centre of Bourton on the water.Comfortable rooms with everything you need, an excellent freshly cooked breakfast with quality ingredients. Would definitely stay again.

Really enjoyed our stay at this lovely place. We were accommodated early as the rooms were ready, good parking in the enclosed courtyard.Welcomed by a lovely young woman. Our twin room was lovely, nicely decorated, spotless, good hot drink facilities. We asked for extra milk and were given a jug of fresh milk, a lovely touch. A short walk, just a couple of hundred yards to the village centre, so well located. Central heating worked well so we were super cosy despite a cold night. There is a full bath with a shower over - lashings of very welcome hot water and large bath towels. Very peaceful night's sleep and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was divine - juice, plentiful tea and coffee, a starter course and a cooked course on offer. My husband had eggs poached perfectly and i had a full English breakfast, with veggie sausages (divine) Lovely service again, friendly and helpful. Can't fault this pretty little place. Top marks for presentation and service. Thoroughly recommend!

The location of the hotel is great as it is tucked away from the main road which means there is very little noise at night. The hotel was clean, friendly and the bed was comfortable. Everything I had for breakfast was fresh and tasty. A few extra things in the bathroom such as disposable shower caps, cotton pads would be useful.

We enjoyed our one-night stay with friends. Thank you for making us welcome. Perfect location. Very comfortable room/s. The breakfast was excellent - lovely menu choices with freshly cooked hot selection. We liked the small lounge & bar area to enjoy a night-cap! The free parking was certainly a bonus. We must add that for room 9 we felt that the bathroom was in need of refurbishment especially the shower over the bath. It was difficult to control the temperature from the bath taps. Also, rather dark at wardrobe end of bedroom where the mirror is situated.Thank you.

This is a beautiful property in Bourton on the Water. It was a great place to stay as a base to visit other villages. The owners are the perfect hosts. Rooms were clean and well equipped. Breakfast was wonderful as well. There is a small bar and lounge area where we mingled with the other guests. If we ever return, this is where we will stay and we will definitely recommend to anyone else we talk to that is visiting the Cotswolds.

From begining to end, a great stay, made to feel welcome and valued by all the staff. We did book a small room, which is what we got, but it was comfortable, clean and what we needed for a short stay. Having been regular guests over the years under prior management, we know the other rooms are more spacious - two of them are tremendously big. The new decor does work very well and we will certainly be back in future.

It was the first time that I ve been in the Cotswolds and I have to say I was impressed by the beauty of the nature really amazing landscapes! About the Broadlands Hotel position is really convenient is just few steps from the small village center of Bourton-on-the-Water that it s a really lovely village hotel is clean and cozy all the Staff is really kind and lovely rooms are a quite good size breakfast no choice of brioches but it s fine only thing is the room bathroom it s very small for 2 people and the shower is really old style and no handle for safety I have to say that that shower for old people could be dangerous this is the only thing the rest was amazing! Thanks

My girlfriend did say there was a smell from the bathroom but I didn't detect it. We've just returned from a 3 night stay in the Broadlands Hotel. The welcome was very warm and friendly, and we were really delighted to find that our 'room' was in fact a suite with two bedrooms and a lounge! The location is perfect for visiting the delights of Bourton-on-the-Water; the hotel is only 200m or so from the Windrush and its many tourist attractions, yet the hotel is an oasis of tranquility all day long. Breakfasts were very generous and delicious, with every meal cooked to perfection. So, if you want a great value stay in a perfect location, with the added benefit of an on-site car park, then look no further than the Broadlands. We'll definitely be going back again.

We had a lovely break at Broadlands. We were made to feel very welcome. Our room was lovely and spacious. Bathroom very nice with lovely large white towels. Breakfast was served to you which was great. Great choice too. The hotel is very central. Bourton on Water is lovely for a break with plenty restaurants and bars. We did the tour of Hawkstone brewery which we would definitely recommend. We hope to visit Broadlands again and would highly recommend.

We stayed at Broadlands Hotel for 1 night and had a very enjoyable stay. We were welcomed on arrival and shown to our room. This was light and airy with a very comfortable bed. Lovely fluffy towels for the bathroom. Breakfast was in the Conservatory and there was plenty of choice (the coffee was wonderful). We were able topark the car before check in time and it is just a few minutes walk to the centre of Bourton on the Water.

Stayed for 5 nights; room was of a decent size with plenty of storage, towels were thick and very soft. Shower needs updating and the hot water supply was extremely hot but manageable. Floorboards very noisy in places!Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and delicious and the bar (although small) was well stocked and the patio a perfect place to relax and cool down. Parking was really helpful in a very busy location. The hotel is perfectly positioned a short stroll from the village high street and river. Hosts were very friendly and helpful - thoroughly recommended.

We had room 10 which is one of the rooms in the back annex. We selected it to avoid having to climb stairs. Our room was very adequate except for the heating system. Apparently, it is on a timer and the weather was quite cool that week so there were periods when it was colder than we would have liked. When asked they did increase the duration that it generated heat. Breakfast was wonderful; everything cooked to order. Internet was slow but we did no streaming, so it was fine.

The location is in a quiet area just two short blocks from all of the activities in Bourton-on-the-Water. My wife and I just spent 10 days at the Broadlands Hotel, a lovely family owned and operated B&B in Bourton-On-The-Water in the heart of the Cotswolds. Rob and Andrea Grant-Smith and their adult children, Ross and Carly, share the duties of running the hotel and are all warm and welcoming. Our room was comfortable, and the breakfasts excellent, but what made our stay truly exceptional was their gracious hospitality. The family went out of their way to make our stay memorable. We could not have enjoyed a better experience and look forward to returning. It is truly a wonderful place in which to stay and explore the Cotswolds!

This was our first visit to the Cotswolds and we couldn’t have found anywhere better to stay. This is a family run business who pride themselves on making people feel at home. The hotel is comfortable, cosy and restful. The room was great, large enough to move around or sit and read a book. The bed was very comfortable with lovely quality linen. Breakfast was excellent, great choices and cooked to order. The little courtyard was the perfect sun trap to enjoy a G&T and relax. The free parking was an additional bonus. Perfect location for short walks into the town or to the various tourist sites. Lots of countryside walks straight from door.

Our second stay and as last time, Andrea was the perfect host, friendly and efficient. This time we stayed in the family suite which is beautifully and recently decorated and having a separate living room with a sofa bed is a real bonus. The bathroom is a "little snug" but does the job. Breakfast has a good selection and is well cooked however you need to book your preferred sitting time in advance. Can't fault the service, nothing is too much trouble. If in that neck of the woods, would definitely stay here again.

We booked into the Broadlands as it was well situated to the village, walking distance from pubs and restaurants. The off-street parking was a bonus too. The hotel is family owned and very friendly, nothing was too much trouble for any of the family members/staff we met on our stay. Our room, whilst not large, had clearly been recently renovated was very nicely decorated with a large and comfortable bed. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Rob and Andrea were happy to give recommendations for restaurants and things to do, both of which we took them up on. We were particularly grateful to Rob for opening the bar on both nights for us as the pubs were closing earlier than usual due to Covid-19 restrictions. And he serves a good pint! We would recommend coming here and would definitely return in the future.

This hotel is family run which we really like. The staff were all very friendly and nothing was to much trouble. The Hotel is close to the centre and has the advantage of a car park. The room was comfortable we could have done with a small drop down table by the side of the bed nearest to the door.Breakfast was very good eggs cooked to perfection especially the poached eggs.Thank you

A lovely hotel in a great location for all that beautiful Bourton on the Water has to offer.Stayed in Room 3 which was a small double en-suite but adequate for a couple of nights.Nice and warm.Breakfast was lovely and the bar was also an added benefit for a drink after dinner. Will be great in the summer evenings too. Look forward to returning then.

I stayed with Andrea and her family at Broadlands to celebrate the weekend of my birthday. Id always wanted to go away on my own and took the opportunity on my 40th Birthday. I was warmly welcomed and shown to my beautiful room in the coach house. The room was perfectly clean, warm and comfortable. Even the smell of the room was perfect, reminiscent of a spa.. I dont know how they did this! There was plenty of hot water for a lovely bath, the breakfast was one of the best Ive had (the sausages were gorgeous) and the village itself was idyllic. I didnt want to leave. I will definitely be returning as soon as I can! It was perfect.

My husband and I have lost count of how many times we have stayed at Broadlands over the years. It is our favourite B&B. The new owners Andrea and Rob are very welcoming and nothing is to much trouble. The new addition (the bar and seating outside) are a welcome sight, especially when we have come back from cycling around the Cotswolds during the day. The beers go down a treat. There is a good choice for breakfast and the food is delicious. The rooms are comfortable, very clean and well decorated. We look forward to staying there for many more years to come.

What made this a great stay? A wonderful king-size double en-suite room, excellent breakfasts, safe parking, and just a short 5 minute walk to the village centre. But, chiefly, the friendliness and helpfulness of the proprietors provided the icing on the cake. Their knowledge and their frequent company was a true joy. We will come again to what must surely be the best small hotel in the area.

Hi Debbie,Thank you for your lovely review! I am so sorry about the cups, we always have cups in the rooms for tea and coffee, it must have been an oversight from housekeeping. The plastic ones are meant for the bathroom!Kind regards,Andrea.

Was not too keen on the bathroom as the bath did look like it needed replacing. Apart from that we were very happy with it. Went with granddaughter and she was very happy as well.

The hotel location was perfect - just a 5 minute walk from the centre of this most beautiful village. Andrea and her family team were the perfect hosts; nothing was too much trouble for them and they regularly went out of their way to be helpful, giving us useful local knowledge which added to the enjoyment of our stay. The breakfast menu is extensive, well prepared and very tasty! Our room was clean, comfortable and had all the necessary amenities. It's difficult to find anything negative here. If I had to be picky, I'd say that the on-site (free) parking is quite tight and can be limited; however, there is little the hosts can do to improve this ... they only have the space there is!

We were warmly welcomed by the owners and were delighted with our room. The bed was king size and very comfortable. The bathroom was exactly what we wanted. We were pleased with the rates having stayed for two days. The breakfasts were great and gave us a good choice. The poached eggs made by Rob were spot on! We were offered a choice of two time slots for breakfast, which was sensible during these CV19 days. It was a short walk into the beautiful town. The car parking was just perfect. We’d definitely recommend this establishment and will stay again should we be in The Cotswolds at any time in the future.

I stayed here with my mum. Perfect set up with the family room as I had the upstairs room.Very friendly service and clean. Great breakfast with plenty of options. Easy to park too. This hotel could not be in a better position as literally a very short walk into the village. In my opinion Bourton on the water is a great place to stay having visited other villages and towns.A short but very enjoyable visit would recommend!

It was great to find accommodation with free parking so close to the village centre. The staff (family) were pleasant, attentive and approachable. Bonus was the recently opened residents bar. Expect a little noise on the stairs from early risers and guests leaving early but no night time disturbance from outside.Everything was clean and the bed comfortable.

My partner and I decided we wanted to visit the Cotswolds. We found this delightful hotel doing some research. The hotel is situated just a stones throw from the village centre but just far enough that you don’t get impacted by it!The hotel is beautifully presented and has maintained that warm feeling of being home! It was immaculately clean and the rooms were big! The rooms are spotless and well equipped with comfy beds and tea and coffee facilities. Plenty of room to move about in! At night it was extremely quiet and we had two nights of uninterrupted sleep! Very relaxing. The breakfast offers a great range of fresh food and hot fresh breakfasts. The staff were extremely lovely and personable making you instantly feel at home and relaxed. It was a genuine personal service as you are left feeling you are part of their journey! .We had plenty of little chats :) Carly the daughter of the owners was brilliant and can assist in anything you need with a big smile! It had a lovely mix of young people and elderly and was very peaceful! There were two toddlers there during our stay and they were so well behavedThere are plenty of things to do and see all within a 20 min walk of the location. We have already decided that we will be having a winter stay at this exact location and will be recommending the hotel to friends family and on our work forumThank you for being a massive part in what was a delightful little staycation!!

This is a family owned and operated hotel and Andrea Rob and their two adult children were the perfect hosts. The hotel is situated a very short walk away from the main thoroughfare, the River and the tourist attractions. The location is very peaceful, and it was very pleasant to be woken by birdsongs in the morning. The accommodation my wife and I had, was a family room which was very spacious and comfortable. Rob cooked an excellent breakfast in the morning which kept us going whilst we followed the walking trails which are abundant in the Cotswolds. We strongly recommend this hotel and both Bourton on the Water and nearby Stow on the Wold as wonderful places to visit.

My husband and I were travelling with our 12 week old daughter. The accommodation was impeccably clean. We stayed in a family room which was self contained with it’s own entrance so we could easily come and go without disturbing anyone. We unfortunately had to cut our trip short due to personal reasons and the owners were incredibly helpful, understanding and accommodating. They are genuinely warm, fantastic people and made our short trip a pleasure.
